What is a colour dash?

It is a 3 km route, around the grounds of Berriewood Farm, Condover, taking you across the fields and through the woods.   The ground is nice and flat, no nasty hills, but there will be the odd lump or bump in the ground.

At various points along the way our volunteers will be primed and ready to cover participants in 100% non-toxic powder paint!  You will start the race with a clean white t-shirt, but that’s certainly not how you will finish it!  We challenge you to get as much paint on you as possible.

Closing date for entries

Closing date for entries, unless fully booked prior to this date, Saturday 7th September 2019.

What are the timings on the day?

Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your race time to register and collect your pre-ordered t-shirt and sunglasses.

Warmup will begin 15 minutes prior to your start-time.

Please bring your email order confirmation with you.

Proceeds and no sponsorship required

The proceeds will go to West Midlands Air Ambulance and SSHRG (South Shropshire Hunt Rural Group).

Given how busy we all are we think that raising sponsorship can be a hassle we just don’t need.  Therefore, unlike most other fundraising events we are not asking you to raise any sponsorship.  Your entrance fee is your donation for which we are very grateful.

Can anybody take part?

The event is open to anybody regardless of your running ability – all that matters is you turn up, have fun, and leave covered in paint with a broad smile across your face! The event will not be timed.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the terrain and the paint at the event, we cannot allow children under the age of 4 to take part in the event, and under 12s must be accompanied by an adult. Additionally, pets are not allowed on the course, and the route is not suitable for push or wheelchairs.

Is the paint safe?

The paint is non-toxic, non-irritant to skin and non-flammable.  The colour powder is almost stain free – for removal use soap for body and detergent for clothing, with water.

There will be plenty of parking available on hard standing at Berriewood Farm and there is no parking charge, although a suggested charitable donation of £2 on arrival would be greatly appreciated. Although the car park is secure, we do not advise that you leave anything of value in your car when unattended.

Please be advised there are no refreshment stations during the course of the run. However, there will be refreshments on sale (cash only please) at the start/finish.

No dogs are allowed to take part in the run but can come and spectate.

You are more than welcome to bring family and friends along with you to watch and join in the atmosphere.

First Aid will also be on site for the event.

There are no washing facilities, however as you will be covered, head to toe, in paint you may wish to bring a change of clothes and/or towel with you so that you can remove some of the colour before going home.

Terms and Conditions

Once booked places for the Shropshire Colour Dash are non refundable.

The event organisers reserve the right to cancel the event if insufficient places are sold or for events outside of their control.

The booker is responsible for any person under the age of 18 whilst on the course.

You are advised to consult your own physician before taking part in any strenuous activity.

All participants run/walk at their own risk.  As noted above the course is multi-terrain covering fields, woodland and tarmac.  There will be lumps and bumps and there is always a risk of tripping and falling and therefore potentially hurting yourself.
